Tagging Silverdale on Social Media
For those of you who want to, but aren't sure quite how, here's some tips on sharing what's going on in your classroom or area, broken down by social media account:
Share through your personal Facebook account, but be sure the post privacy is set to "Public". Anything less (like "Friends") won't allow me to share it with our Silverdale Facebook following.
You can't tag photos with Silverdale Baptist Academy, but you can tag Silverdale in the caption. To do this, write your caption, and when you're ready to mention us, type the @ sign, directly followed by Silverdale Baptist Academy. You should see our Page pop up as an option before you even finish typing. An example would be: "My 6th graders are enjoying time by the creek studying God's creation here at (@)Silverdale Baptist Academy!"
Common hashtags like #WeAreSilverdale are another way we can all track Silverdale-related posts across social media, but don't feel the need to use hashtags if you're not comfortable with them.
You can also share posts directly to our Silverdale Page by visiting it and looking for the Visitor Posts section, where you have options to write a post or share a photo//video directly, without posting to your personal profile.
Your Twitter profile must be public for your posts to be retweeted by our Silverdale accounts. Unlike Facebook, this is an all-or-nothing setting.
Our primary account is @SilverdaleBA, and our athletics account is @SBASeahawks. You can use these "handles" when writing your post, or tag images with these profiles. For example: "My 6th graders are enjoying time by the creek studying God's creation here at @SilverdaleBA!"

If you feel I've missed something or you'd like to sit down to take a look at what you can do individually with the social accounts you have, please let me know! As always, you are welcome to send me content directly, along with captions, and I can post directly to social media.
