Adjusting Resolution
Your mac will automatically adjust its screen resolution settings when it is connected to a projector.
When displaying your mac content to your SmartBoard or screen there are two options for display:
1. Mirrored display (Your mac screen shows exactly on the board)
Click “System Preferences” (the gray gear box)
Click “Displays”
Click “Arrangement”
Check the box in the lower left corner that says “Mirror Displays”
On your Mac, go to System Preferences -> Displays
2. Extended Display (Allows you to work on your mac and show something different on the SmartBoard or screen)
Click “System Preferences” (the gray gear box)
Click “Displays”
Click “Arrangement”
Uncheck the “Mirror Displays” box
To use your extended display, drag whatever window you have open to the right until it fully shows on your screen or SmartBoard.
* If for reason your any application you try to open does not appear on your computer screen, it may be acting as an extended display. To remedy this, turn on your projector, and drag the window back to your desktop.
Once your computer is connected, you will be able to adjust the resolution quickly by clicking the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top right hand side of your screen.
