Software
Standard software is provided on each employee workstation. The software installed is based primarily on job function and can be categorized as follows:
Teachers - MS Office 2011, Chrome, Firefox, CrashPlan, and SmartNotebook 15
Office Staff - MS Office 2011, Chrome, Firefox, CrashPlan, VMFusion (Windows 7) and RenWeb Desktop
Administrators - MS Office 2011, Chrome, Firefox, CrashPlan, VMFusion (Windows 7) and RenWeb Desktop
Note: SBA has site licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Acrobat) and ProPresenter 5. These programs can be installed on an SBA workstation on an as-needed basis.
Contact the IT Help Desk to ask about other single-copy, discipline-specific software you may need.
Desktop Backups - SBA uses CrashPlan to back up individual desktop computers. We back up the Documents and Desktop directories (no others) on each machine and can restore files as needed.
Microsoft Office Questions - For help with any Microsoft program, you can always consult the program's built-in help by clicking the question-mark icon at the top right of the screen.
Microsoft.com has a wide array of resources. Use the site's search feature to find help for the specific program and feature you are using - Word 2011 formatting, Excel 2011 formulas, Power Point 2011 print multiple slides per page, etc.
The IT Help Desk Technicians can help with common questions.
Pete Cuison in the Upper School Computer lab (Room 200) can help with advanced questions.
